Get ready for the new 2009 BMW X5!

Our dealership has the 2009 BMW X5! This lovely five and seven-seat sports activity vehicle is the ideal one for the family from the BMW stable.

Try out its two trims –the 3.0si V6 and the 4.8-liter V8. The si has wonderful power of 260-hp on its 3.0-liter 6-cylinder engine. The 4.8i is more powerful, with its 350-hp; 4.8-liter V8 engine. Both these twin-turbocharged, direct-injection engines are given automatic transmission. The uniqueness of this engine is that it signals the introduction of this new generation of clean diesel engines from the Ultimate Driving Machine. It gets more torque and better mileage, which is another new combination from BMW.

The X5s are given all-wheel drive, which enhances its presence on the road. It comes without low-range gearing, which means it is suitable to any condition and surface.

This model is also available in an SUV, which BMW calls xdrive 35d, which can shoot to 60 mph in just 7.2 seconds.

The X5s have BMW’s iDrive. This uses a single knob to control features, such as communication, entertainment, climate and navigation functions. The 2009 BMW X5 is armed with features that make your drive easy and pleasure-filled. Some of these are Active Roll Stabilization, which balances body tilt; Active Steering, which quickens low-speed steering response, and steering-linked xenon headlights, which brighten the road in the exact direction the vehicle takes.

The navigation system; DVD entertainment; head-up instrument display; BMW Assist concierge service with wireless cell phone link and rearview camera with front/rear obstacle detection are all vintage Ultimate Driving Machine all the way.

To make your journey as safe as it gets, the 2009 BMW X5 is given a long list of safety features. Anti-lock braking system; antiskid system with rollover sensors; traction control; hill descent control; front side airbags and curtain side airbags that cover the first two seating rows and include rollover deployment are some of the various safety features of this model.

Are you a racing fan?
Maybe so or maybe not, but the Prelude to the Dream race at Eldora Speedway should be of interest to you. Why? The proceeds from the live HBO telecast of this race will go to support four military-themed charities: Wounded Warrior Project, Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, Operation Homefront, and Fisher House. These four charities all cater to severely injured military personnel or fallen heroes and their families. Plus, it's a dirt-track race where top NASCAR drivers like Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart (Eldora Speedway owner), Carl Edwards, Kyle Busch, Kevin Harvick, Kasey Kahne, Matt Kenseth and even more top drivers will battle for first place. These drivers donate their time to participate in this race to help raise money for military charities. Hendrickcars.com is proud to sponsor Jimmie Johnson in this race. He'll be driving the #48 Hendrickcars.com car and we expect a great finish. He finished in the top 10 last year and should do even better this year with a Hendrickcars.com race car. CLICK HERE to watch a video of Jimmie Johnson over viewing this upcoming race.

It's September 9th, 2009 at 7 PM ET/ 4 PM PT on HBO pay-per-view. With an immediate replay and replays throughout the week and following weekend.
