C.C. Blaney Elementary School’s Partners, Students & Community celebrate the “2011 Day of Caring”

Who: Media outlets are welcomed and encouraged to attend as employees from Rick Hendrick Imports BMW-MINI-Volvo participate in a day of service at C.C. Blaney Elementary! Joining the team will be student entrepreneurs from West Ashley High School.

What: Trident United Way’s 2011 “Day of Caring” event Educational Presentation: In an effort to raise awareness about bullying, West Ashley High School seniors, Marcus Williams and Elizabeth Pendergast will present, The Stop Bullying Club book to students in Kindergarten through 6th grades. Marcus, the author of The Stop Bullying Club, teamed up with Elizabeth for the illustrations. It is through their determination and effort that students will be encouraged to stand strong and put a stop to bullying. Employees from Rick Hendrick Imports will visit each classroom and share with students how making positive choices can lead to success. Rick Hendrick Imports will sponsor each student’s copy of The Stop Bullying Club book.

When: 9:00 a.m., Friday, September 9, 2011 (media are asked to arrive 15 minutes before the event)
