This summer, the BMW Group (MINI and BMW brands combined) turned up the heat with its sales momentum to record some pretty impressive monthly records. August in particular showed a 35.4 percent boost in U.S. sales for the automaker, with 22,553 units sold. Looking at the year-to-date sales, BMW has experienced a sale of over 233,326 models, a 12 percent increase over the sales recorded during the same 8 month period in 2012.

It was back in 1975 when the BMW 3 Series lineup first landed at brand dealerships, including those in the Bavarian automaker's homeland of Germany. And, since the very beginning, this range has been offering drivers sophisticated styling and well-engineered performance.

When looking at the new BMW lineup, it seems that the BMW 3 Series has been quite an important staple.
