As the holidays are just around the corner, BMW is thrilled to see people getting a jump on all of their shopping this year. Just by looking at the brand's November sales records, it's easy to see that the new BMW lineup will be making this season of gift giving quite memorable.
In fact, BMW brand sales experienced an increase of 1.7 percent last month with a total of 31,752 units sold. This November has become the strongest one yet for the automaker. Looking at the year-to-date sales, BMW is up by 11.4 percent, which indicates the brand is well on its way to finishing out 2013 with some record sales numbers.
Ludwig Willisch, President and CEO, BMW of North America, explains, "Holiday shopping added fuel to our sales giving us the best November ever for BMW and the best year-to-date numbers ever for BMW, for MINI, for Pre-Owned, and for the BMW Group in the U.S. With availability improving on some of our most popular new models, the X5 and 4 Series in particular, we are looking forward to a record finish for the year."1
Which vehicles in particular are customers taking advantage of this season? Up 22 percent with a combined sale of 13,148 vehicles were the BMW 3 Series and BMW 4 Series. Another strong performer was the BMW X1 with an increase of 13.2 percent and a total of 2,364 units sold.
