When to Service Your BMW EV In Charleston?

With a new model year comes more advanced technology, onboard entertainment, passenger safety features and innovation that makes every driving experience more enjoyable. For the 2014 model year, the new BMW lineup will be bringing all of these features and more to drivers in the Charleston, SC and beyond. Let's take a look at some of the highlights that we have to look forward to.

We'll start with the BMW ConnectedDrive which will be available starting this summer. Bringing intelligent networking to a whole new level, drivers can enjoy more options, enhanced functions and more optimization.

Next we have the Driving Assistant and Driving Assistant Plus features which greatly improve driver safety. Although they were initially only available to the BMW 7 Series models, they will soon be made available to other models within the lineup as well. Features included with Driving Assistant are Lane Departure Warning, along with pedestrian and collision warning which come with braking assistance. Driving Assistant Plus offers the additional Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go Function. These offer safety when stuck in slow-moving traffic, thanks to its front camera and series of radar sensors that detect vehicles close by.

Finally we have a new function that is available for the BMW ECO PRO Mode to further increase fuel efficiency. Models within the BMW 1 Series, 3 Series and 6 Series lineup will begin including the sailing mode. When a vehicle sporting the BMW 8-speed auto or sports transmission is traveling in the speed range of 50-60 miles per hour in ECO PRO Mode, it can 'sail' without the need for engine power to conserve fuel.

These are of course just a sampling of the new technologies that will be introduced. We could really go on for days going over the expansive list of enhanced features for the 2014 lineup.
